The waterproof zipper is intentionally tight. That resistance is what creates the submersible seal, so expect it to take a firm pull. It is a feature, not a flaw.

Because maybe I want to store my shotgun in the shower
This waterproof shotgun storage bag is fantastic. When closed, it gets an airtight seal that's so perfect you could use your shotgun as a flotation device. You could store your shotgun in the shower, while you're using the shower. You could tie your shotgun to an anchor and throw it in a pond and it will come out bone dry. But perhaps it's greatest magic trick of all: it, along with a couple packets of desiccant, saved my Remington 870 from dissolving into a pile of rust. If you know, you know. That's the gun-storage equivalent to an actual miracle. It features all the hallmarks of Sealbags, outstanding build quality, extreme durability, a zipper that seems like it escaped a NASA research lab to live it's best life as the doorman to your waterproof bag, as well as a big spacious fit for almost any shotgun no matter how many crazy gadgets you have bolted onto it. Your shotgun could have another smaller shotgun bolted onto it and it would still easily fit into this bag. And there's a nice padded sturdy strap so you can sling it across your back. Great product, easy 5 stars. Would be more, but it only goes up to 5.

Very Pleased!
Roll top bags are pretty common but they have their downsides. They often end up using advertised space for long gun storage. This bag however uses a zipper similar to what you'd find on air tight compression bags. The zipper itself is stiff, durable and water tight! My longest goose gun with an extended tube fits in this bag just fine! The material is similar to other higher end waterproof shotgun cases also. For ~50 dollars, this is a great value! Even if you don't need a water tight bag, having something like this is great to keep your shotgun clean and dry in the back of a truck or sitting in the blind as a spare gun.

Heavy, Quality Bag. Tight Zipper.
This bag is large enough to handle most long guns...shotguns or rifles. The heavy neoprene material should be considerably more waterproof than a treated fabric, and also provides a good bit of protection from impact damage. The synthetic zipper is full length, and it comes with a little tube of lube for improving its function. On the case I got, the zipper is extremely tight at its fully closed position, to the point that I was afraid I might damage it or the case as I tried to get it started sliding open. I'm hoping the lube and a bit of working the zipper back and forth will eventually loosen it up. I'm not at all certain it will function correctly if it gets any dirt or grit in it, but it should at least be easy to wash out, if necessary. The interior of the case is the same material as the exterior, and there is a layer of some sort of padding between them. I'm going to use a treated gunsock as the first cover of any firearm, to reduce any potential issues with condensation or rubbing. There are three D-ring attachment points, and a small center hand strap (that could actually stand to be a bit bigger and padded, but not a big deal). The adjustable shoulder strap has heavy plastic clips that won't scratch or puncture the case. material. To cut down on possible damage, or setting creases from folding, I'm going to store the case hanging vertically, with a plastic clothes hanger through the strap's end D-ring. All-in-all, this is a nice heavy-duty bag for camping or potential wet weather use like duck hunting, etc.

Glad I ordered it.
It didn't leak, and it does float. I used my heaviest and largest tactical shotgun. For a moment, I didn't think it would fit because the size of the shotgun and carry handle (9 1/2" top to bottom) made for a very tight fit, but I did get it through the IP67 zipper seal. Once that was done, I proceeded to use the carry handle of the case, which felt a little off because it wasn't centered on top. It's slightly to the side, which makes it awkward to carry. All my other cases are centered. I then tested it out in the bathtub. The seal held very well. I even forced it underwater to check for any bubbles coming through the seal, and there were none. After letting it sit in the water for a bit, I pulled it out and dried the case off with no problems. Most of the water just rolled off the case, and there was no water soaking into it. I removed the shotgun from the case and checked for any water penetration into the case and whether any water had gotten on the shotgun. There were no signs of water. All in all, for those who are in wet areas or plan on being in wet areas, this would be a good solution for keeping your firearm dry. In my opinion, this is a good product.

Absolute game-changer for waterfowl hunting! Bone dry and built to last.
If you hunt in brutal, wet environments like I do, you need this bag. I took this out on a freezing, rainy duck hunt through heavy marshes, and my shotgun stayed completely bone-dry. The IPX67 waterproof rating is no joke, even after accidentally getting caught in a heavy chop and taking a wave over the side of the boat. everything inside remained pristine and protected from moisture and mud. The material is remarkably rugged and tear-resistant, meaning it can handle being dragged through brush, timber, and muck without a scratch. Excellent protection for your shotgun
Heading out hunting can expose your shotgun to all sorts of weather and elements, especially waterfowl hunting where it is common to be out in the snow or over a lake. This SealBags case will help keep your shotgun safe during transport. It appears to be just as waterproof as claimed. The sealed zipper makes it a little difficult to operate, but it comes with a nice t-handle for extra grip and some silicone grease to help the zipper slide smoothly. The padding not only protects your shotgun but doubles as floatation to keep it afloat should you drop it overboard. The inside appears to be made of the same waterproof material as the outside. I wouldn't keep a wet firearm stored in the case for very long, not that you should ever do that. The strap and handle seem very well secured to the case. There was just enough room to fit my Benelli Super Black Eagle 12ga.

Nice Water-Resistant Case for Most Long Guns
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this case. The material feels durable and water resistant, and the welded seams and waterproof zipper appear to be well made. The zipper slides smoothly without being overly stiff, and both the shoulder strap and carry handle feel sturdy and comfortable. One thing to note is sizing. I tried it with a tactical shotgun that has a pistol grip, vertical foregrip, and shoulder stock. It almost fit, but not quite, and there was definitely no room with the 9-round magazine installed. If you have a standard shotgun or a typical hunting rifle, it should fit just fine. Overall, this is a well-made case that offers good protection from rain and moisture. Just be sure to measure your firearm if you have a larger tactical setup.

Fantastic Waterproof Shotgun Bag
I already own two smaller bags from SealBags, and I have been very happy with them, which is why I decided to pick up this shotgun bag. Beautiful and Waterproof
Beautiful may be subjective, but I really like the look of this black waterproof case. It feels well built and it's a great fit for my 2A items. I think $60 is a very reasonable price for this build quality. The shell, zipper, and strap feel super sturdy and well-built, so I feel like it's going to last a long time and do its job well. I believe it will keep water out well, but I haven't thrown it into the creek yet to test its buoyancy. It's got a single zipper, so it's easy to throw your gear in and get moving quickly. Only gripe I have is the handle. It's relatively small and your hand fits tightly into the gap between it and the bag. I would have preferred a little larger handle, but this one should be good enough for my use.

Heavy duty construction, with a strong zipper closure
This bag is of good size, made out of what feels like a heavy-duty material, I am not sure how to really describe is, but it feels very strong and has a good look to it. The zipper is tight, but they warn you about this so it has the ability to stay water tight. I tried out my shotgun in in, while it was in a gun sock and it fit just fine and had a little extra room. I have not tried the floating feature, but I don't have any doubt that it would as everything seems to be very well constructed. I did run some water over the zipper and it just rolled off and the interior stayed perfectly dry. My only real complaint was it would be nice if they also offered the same construction and features in some sort of hunter orange, just my personal preference, regardless I was still impressed by the construction and performance. I would recommend this to a friend.

Excellent waterproof case with more uses than just shotguns
I received this case through Amazon Vine and have been very impressed with the quality. The material feels durable, the construction is solid, and the waterproof zipper creates a very secure seal. Like most waterproof zippers, it takes a little extra effort to open and close, but that's expected and helps maintain the waterproof protection. Although it's marketed primarily for waterfowl hunters and shotguns, I actually use mine to carry my HEMA fencing feder. maximum protection
If you've ever had your shotgun go into the drink while getting out to a blind or back to the truck, this is for you. If you haven't had the joy of that experience, you need this to avoid that bit of joy. The Sealbag is well-made, feels extremely durable, and with a 28" Mossberg inside along with an additional 18 rounds of 3" on shot cards, this floated nicely when I tossed it in my daughter's pool. The zipper closure is stiff, but I think that is a good thing to ensure it doesn't open by itself although you will want to take a second to make sure you have it fully closed. After the water drop/float test, everything was nice and dry so I'll say it definitely keeps everything dry. If you're going to be out on the water, fight the urge to press out the air in the bag when you zip it (something I do with most dry bags) because the buoyancy relies on that air so you want it a bit "puffy". The bag is a bit bulky, but the shoulder strap makes it easy enough to transport. This definitely works best for longer barrel platforms and I think my only complaint/suggestion is that I would really like some additional d-rings on the case to allow an easy fold to make the case shorter if transporting a shotgun with a shorter barrel. I've rigged my own fix for this with some hook and loop, but it would be a simple add for the company to make. This is not necessarily an inexpensive case, but I think you're getting a good value. This thing is simple, and if it means I've got some peace of mind that I won't be cleaning brackish mud out of a barrel or action, I think it is well worth the buy. After hunting season, we'll see if this stands up to regular use or needs a revision to the review.

Good quality and heavy duty waterproof case.
This would actually be the first waterproof bag I've had, and it is not disappointing. It was a lot thicker than I expected, and that's because it has some pretty thick built-in padding sealed within the waterproofing. The zippers are like normal waterproof bag zippers, but I noted there is a little indent in the zipper when it is fully sealed which locks it in the sealed position. You have to pull a bit harder to push away the material and unzip. This was pleasantly surprising. I also could see where the nylon straps attach to the waterproofing, everything is evenly sealed as you can see the sealant (or adhesive, however it is attached) is slightly larger than where it attaches to the bag. I thought I located a weakness, the edge of the bag is stitched with a type of nylon or canvas that IS NOT waterproof. I thought maybe that's where water would get in. I held it under the sink until the edge was soaked and continually kept feeling inside the bag where the edge was wet, but it never got wet inside the back. That's a plus. Also, it says shotgun case. But, it is a nice wide size at the insert point, and I can confirm your standard issue US military hunting thingy can fit. I don't know that I'd throw this in a lake. But, I'd say if you go anywhere that may be wet, I would say this will keep your stuff dry.
